I am a Texan, born and raised, who went to school on the East and West Coasts and worked as a teacher in Brooklyn, NY prior to pursuing a doctorate in psychology at the University of Texas at Austin. I completed my predoctoral internship at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN, and completed my postdoctoral residency in hospice and palliative care psychology at the South Texas VA Medical Center in San Antonio, TX.

Over the course of my training and career, I have worked in a variety of clinical settings and have a depth of experience training and supervising other mental health practitioners.

I have specialty training in evidence based psychotherapies such as ACT, CBT, IBCT and mindfulness-based interventions, but am very much a believer in the efficacy of insight-oriented psychotherapy as well.

Non-clinical interests include breakfast tacos, 90s Country, and virtually any documentary.
